RS Bots - Post Java onto HTML5

Simple question, I've recent looked at an article stating Jagex will convert away from a JAVA game engine to HTML 5 quite likely by the end of 2013.
This new game engine dubbed RuneScape 3 in one of the Behind the scenes video blogs by Jagex.

It will allow for better graphics and performance by the game engine, and allow for massive expansion of the game, HOWEVER what will this mean for botting?

is coding bots for a HTML5 engine feasible? and we could see a possibly very long transition period to html5 effective bots.

    THE FINAL BOTNUKE? DISCUSS :)

As long as a human can view a screen to play a game, there will be bots. By the way, the RS client is written in Java, not the game engine.

Game engine is written in Java, RuneScript is just a java wrapper.

    Edit:

How does Client Architecture make all of the changes possible? Mark Gerhard references that the Client Architecture would be changed with HTML5, but how does that change the game itself if it is still built on Java?

You guys are fucking dumb... HTML 5 Is still HTML, it's not a new game engine. Any changes added to RuneScape will be made within their client which will still be Java based. If they ever plan to move from Java they would have to build another platform on which RuneScape can run, but doubt that will happen anytime soon. Atm the chances are that they will improve their current systems, which will still be based on Java.

HTML5 allows for game programming through [canvas] elements and javascript. Mozilla released an MMO programmed in it to show the capabilities, someone in the software section even programmed a game in it. It can be used to program games for mobile devices. So I am not sure what you're on about.

I've heard the talk about it too in one of their videos.
It would be a stupid crazy amount of work to change/convert the entire game so I don't think the HTML5 stuff will be an excellent time rewrite but then again who knows, it's possible.

It might even just be another game option, like DirectX and OGL so we would just not use it and continue to use Java.

Either way so far every game time has some sort of IDing based system that can be hooked and used, so I'm sure HTML5 will too.

IF the entire game changes drastically then users will just have to wait for many months until new bots are created, most likely by new/different developers unless the Java not creators are very proficient in HTML5 too.

And as always Simba and RiD will easily survive and be updated in a few days/weeks to work with any new changes no matter what. As long as humans can play so can Simba/RiD.

I don't really like talking about this kind of stuff until more concrete information is out or the update itself is released because until it is its all just talk and speculation with no use.
Let's compile some direct quotes from Jagex about this HTML5 stuff before we all just blabber our useless opinions about nothing. It may be way too early to care/worry about.

Don't forget 8realms, that was all HTML5. Jagex already has experience with it now, even if it did fail miserably.
