Retrieving a Banned Account (Macroing)

So I have an old account that was banned ~1 year ago for a Macroing Major... is there anyway to recover such an account? I remember a thread a while back where someone emailed Jagex directly and they gave him the account back for a fee.

I am wondering the same, as my friend also lost his account about a year ago for macroing during the SW nuke. I think he's put in an appeal as a stolen account (I botted his account on a VPS in the US so the IPs were different), so will see how that goes.

 

Pretty sure you can only do this if Jagex approach you and decide your allowed to have it back for a fee. I've had a pending appeal on Minor Macroing for like 6 months now...
