What happens if a Middleman get's chargedback?

Hey, so I was thinking about selling RSGP on sythe. However, I was wondering what happens if a scammer charges back when you use an MM? Wouldn't that mean the MM would lose money over something that isn't his? Are you forced to pay the middleman or be banned?

 

The middleman is the one of the money. You aren't required to pay him back.

My advice to middlemen: don't handle the USD directly. Hold the GP and have the money be sent straight to the seller.

 

Thought that's how it was supposed to happen anyway.

 

Personally, OMM's/MM's should never directly hold the $$$. Easier to hold the RSGP, then once seller receives payment of $$$, MM/OMM can trade the GP to the buyer.

 

How would WU trades go down? Would the OMM be compensated for the fees of sending the money back on?

 

MM's DO NOT HANDLE THE MONEY. We handle the GOLD/ITEM being traded. The PAYMENT goes DIRECTLY from the BUYER to the SELLER


To be honest, any MM foolish enough to handle the $$$, especially via PP, shouldn't be MMing in the first place.

 

OMM's dont worry about the $ in a WU trade, only holding the gp as usual

So say I wanted to buy a real item, say a laptop via WU.

The seller would send the OMM the item and then the OMM would the post it to the buyer correct?

 

use wu or pa or googlecheckout ..

OMM for WU trade also has some risks.

There always has a delay for WU trade cuz seller cant pick up the money online. he can only pick up when WU office is open.

During this time,what if the OMM`s rs account holding money banned but the seller already pick up the wu money?

i dont think omm will pay for buyer.

 

I OMM'd a laptop for gp trade. Had the laptop and the gp sent to me then I exchanged them both at the same time.

When it comes to OMM and WU Trades each different trade is handled differently. I handle a lot of the IRL trades when I am not banned haha

 

That's how I've always done it. It's too risky to have the USD sent to the MM.

A middleman only holds the goods, He's the third party that ENSURES that both the first and second party's Money and Goods are not to be scammed. Most MM's just hold the stuff to tell the buyer to send the money to the seller. But in the case of him holding both the money & goods and he gets chargebacked, Then he can simply report a scam report about him charging back a payment and he'll get banned.

It's easier and safer to not send money to the OMM.

 

Middleman should never handle the paypal payments with him paypal, have the buyer/seller send money directly to your own.
