    CPR Guide

CPR stands for cardiopulmonary resuscitation. CPR can be the differents between life and death. I have personally had to use CPR on an unresponsive women. This guide is for ADULTS only right now. I do recommend taking a class in CPR/First aid. This is just a basic guide.

You are taking a morning jog and you see an unresponsive man or women what do you do?

First thing check if they respond say hello!?!?! say it louder then another time even louder and give them a hard tap on the sholder

Next CALL 911! ALWAYS CALL 911 (or your countries/State emergency line)! Most of the time a 911 dispatcher can assist you with CPR instructions.

Next step, Tilt there head back! Why? Because that opens up there airway. ***Then listen for breathing. If you can not hear them breathing. Pintch their nose and seal your lips around their mouth and give 2 breaths for about 1-2 seconds. While giving the breaths look down at their chest to see if their chest is rising. Take/Rip off shirt if needed! This is a life your saving!

If they are coughing then let them cough because coughing is THE BEST way for someone to get something unstuck in their airway. Coughing also means that they are breathing.

If they are not coughing or breathing start the next step. Pumping. Push between the nipples. Push down about 1-2 inches. Do this about 30 times, At a rate of more then one a second. (100/minute).***

If they are still not responding repeat the steps that have the *** around them until help arives.

Remember CPR can be the differents between life and death. Also remember it doesn't matter if you hurt them in the process of giving them CPR. A broken rib is better then death!

    FAQ

(If you want a question answered, you are welcome to ask!)

    What about checking for pulse?

It is not requiered or taught anymore in CPR lessons. IT IS still requiered by medical responders though

What if they start to vomit?

Tilt them on their side and wait for them to stop and try to clear their mouth so they do not choke on it. Then continue with the CPR.
