What Predict said, except I think its for 8-12 hours. Idk just do it when you are about to go to sleep or something and hopefully it should work.

If that fails, call your ISP.

It all depends, some ISP's assign a new IP everytime they lose connection with your router. Others wait until the IP you had assigned to you is picked up and used by another device/router before assigning you a new one.

    Just go to - www.whatsmyip.org
Write down or remember what your IP is.
Unplug your router/modem for 1 minute, plug it back in.
Revisit www.whatsmyip.org and check to see if your IP has changed.
If it has not then your ISPs procedures are the latter, if that is the case unplug your router overnight. When you wake up and plug it back in you should have a new IP.

    Again use www.whatsmyip.org to verify.

If your IP address is static, you cannot change it.Static IP will not change even when you reset the modem. You have to contact your Internet Service provider(ISP) for changing static IP.If your IP address is dynamic,it will change whenever you reset the modem. You can check your IP address by using Ip-details.com .
