How to check if a seller is legit?

I'm new here... I'm looking to buy about 4 to 7b rs3 for personal use over the next couple of weeks. It seems people here have better stock and price than most sites. However i'm not sure if it's safe and who is not a scammer. Have many people been scammed or banned for buying rs3 gold? Is stake transfer safer than trade transfer? How come some sellers will sell at 2 to 5 cents less than bigger traders with websites?

How do i verify a seller? Can vouches be faked/bought?

 

- You can look at the quality of the vouches, not always the quantity.
- If they have a website you can check the validity of their company.
- You can always use a Middleman
- You can trade in increments and only trade once you have received a PM
- If a deal seems too good to be true, it often is.

Those are automatic thought processes that go through my mind when I trade anybody new.

I buy and sell bulk GP, and only old registered users with lots of vouches and a high donator rank are ones that I take less precautions with

 

Not necessarily how to determine, because that is judgement, but a few simple indiciators:

• Ask for PM to verify Skype or Discord
• Are their prices TOO good to be true?
• Where are their vouches coming from? -Respected or -Newcomers?
• What is the highest amount they have been trusted with?
  
• Use your judgement and ask for a middle man if necessary - DO NOT RISK IT IF YOU ARE BUYING AN ACCOUNT.

 

Yeh, I agree. It's all based on judgement. You have to beware of imposters also. Avoid any sketchy situations such as dealing with a person who you don't feel comfortable with.

 

Only trust people who have been members a long time and have done trades where they have not gone first.

 

Do research on the seller before jumping the gun on purchases. Everything is a risk so take everything into consideration.

 

ALWAYS, ALWAYS, use a MiddleMan. That way if the seller bails or if the seller was planning to scam you in the first place he wouldnt continue with the trade since a proper legit Middleman essentially makes sure the gp/services are provided before the payment is released. And for such a large purchase its safer to use Official Middlemen or even mods. Most official MiddleMen will want a payment of say, 5% of the trade value tho, but hey, you pay for ensuring the trade goes well.

And always ask for sythe pm confirmations from the seller and MiddleMan to prevent skype/discord impersonation scams.

No gp, no payment.

 

Hey man, you just gotta make sure they have vouches of equal or great value. Also check to make sure you are talking to the right person if you decide to trade with a trusted member. I always require PM's to contain either the payment address or RS character to deliver to. That way you don't risk being imposter scammed. Here's an article I wrote up let me know how I did

Usually check some of the vouches at random if those accounts are "real".

 

Ahh i see so like check if the account is active or is mainly used to vouch a bunch of accounts.

 

Yeah, fake vouches isn't really that of a big problem on Sythe, as long as you stick with one of the bigger vendors I'm sure you will have no issues regarding buying/selling gold.

 

As said above. Best option is to look at their vouches, see how long they have been selling for, how long ago they joined the forums. If im being honest you can tell someone is going to scam you the minute you start speaking to them, if they rush you into a sale. Leave, IMO if your buying over 1Bgp i would go with the highest ranked members. You will see them on Sythe Take care and good luck!
