My dog has absolute horrible breath, like smells like a pile of shit every time she opens her mouth. Dentastix don't do jack shit, so does any dog owner out there know of a solution?

When we were looking after 2 dogs for a friend my dad used yogurt to try and cure their bad breathe since of all the good bacteria etc it has within it. It worked on one of them so it's not 100% effective. Something you can try though anyways.

I will, I'm also going to try boiled carrots, mint and rosemary leaves, and if none of it works, I'll take her to the vet. Hopefully it's not a health problem causing it

That can sometimes be bad for a dog though, depending on the yogurt due to many dogs being lactose intolerant.

Dog food in a tin? Maybe it's different in the US.

What about trying her with different dog food flavour? Or try a different brand?

Carrots and mint, boiled, worked in fixing it for now. Hopefully it lasts long enough to make up for the ensuing nasty shit she's going to take after digesting it lolol

Feed your dog a good food first off, we use natural choice's brand, they got all the things they can be allergic too out and use pretty good ingredients.

We also give our dog a deer antler for a toy. My dog will destroy a beef tendon in 3 minutes even the cow knuckles are gone by the end of the day. The antler seems to do wonders on dog and she pick ups dead pheasants/qual/grouse/geese/duck/ like every other day so it kills the smell of death.

I had my doggies on Blue's brand, one of them handled it fine but the other got very sick off of it. Throwing up, diarrhea lethargic etc. . .so I took him to the vet and they told me it was pretty much food poisoning. My other dog that that didn't get sick had HORRIBLE breath haha.

So I made a transition to a raw diet for both of them, I initially went with raw bites...both of them loved it and no more skanky breath but it was expensive to keep up!

So now I have them on a legitimate raw diet. Every week when I go to their dog training I pick up an assortment of raw shit. Livers, hearts, all that good stuff!

Change the diet up, I think it'll help!

If your going for right off the animal say whitetail antlers, make sure you grind down the points a bit so your dog doesn't accidental hurt itself (learn from my mistakes). Gracie cut the roof of her mouth with one she found in the woods.

You can also get some dog bones/treats that are essentially breath mints for dogs. I don't remember the brand name, but I had snagged some at a Petco.

Oh, didn't even notice that in OP. What the hell is your dog eating (besides its own shit, apparently)?

Literally only dry dog food, I don't let her eat people food because I don't want to teach her it's ok to beg

Boiled carrots and mint helps though, I fed her that yesterday
