    how to avoid procrastination?

    Title basically sums it up....

Don't really want to speak on my personal matter as it pertains to school (however you should be able to connect the dots here lol)

Anyway, any of you got advice? Would really appreciate some tips that have work for y'all personally.

    Thanks :)

    how to avoid procrastination?

    I am the worst procrastinator I know. I'm such a cunning and sly procrastinator, I oftentimes trick myself in to thinking I'm being productive in order to procrastinate some more. Like right now, I feel quite good about myself because I'm lending advice to a stranger in distress.. when really the more pressing matter is my overdue Uni coursework... but I digress and in doing so procrastinate a little more;

It's all to do with your self-control and inner-dialogue and how much you let yourself away with. Once you start being productive in small ways, holding on to the goodness you feel and using that as your motivation to do more is really the best way out of it. I've failed countless times over the years but I'm currently attempting to maintain a pretty simple yet effective planner/diary. Listing some ToDo's for the day in order of priority and getting some kind of satisfaction out of ticking them off and having some free time left to relax knowing everything is done afterwards.

It's an odd thing but it comes in time and practice. It's difficult though, and it's very common.

Lol that first sentence really resonates with me. I'm still learning how to control it. Recently handed in an paper 3 days late with a doctors note. Was I really sick? Obv not just din't wanna do the work at the time lol.

Maybe I'm just not motivated enough to actually learn the course material, even though I have interest in my work industry post-undergrad.

    how to avoid procrastination?

Start by changing your lifestyle. The first thing: You should start waking up early, 4:30AM or 5AM is the best time to wake up. That means you will go to bed earlier. Rising before the sun gives you a different level of motivation and invigoration. By the time its 9AM you can accomplish 75% of what people take all day to do and finish at 3PM. The hours are quiet and there is nothing to waste your time besides the work you need to do. Secondly, stop drinking/eating foods with lots of sugar. Sugar makes you lethargic, drink sufficient water for the day (1-2L depending). Also consider joining a gym. Exercise releases Endorphins and Dopamine into the brain which gives you natural energy and a more vibrant life. @DaPmsItsAt @R

    how to avoid procrastination?

Forgot to mention if you are use to waking up like 9AM you wont be able to wake up 4:30 the first try, so everyday try going to bed 30-1hour earliar and setting your alarm 1 hour earliar. Also, try to avoid food right before you go to bed since you stomach will be working on digesting all that food when you're sleeping and you wake up more lethargic. Also I found a easy tip to wake up earliy. 60-90 mins before you go to bed drink a big cup/bottle of water. You will pee at least once or twice before you go to bed, and you will be able to sleep for at least 5-6 hours before your body wakes you up to pee. All you need is 6 hours sleep. Some people think you need 8-10 but when you sleep 6 hours you are more productive in any lifestyle. Even Arnold Schwarzenegger said he only ever slept 6 hours a night!

Try making some wacky rules that center around something you like. For example when you play a game where you die every now and then make a rule like: "Whenever I die, I will do homework for 30 minutes". Or, what I personally do. I play Rocket League and each game lasts like 7 minutes. So I just play a game, then alt-tab and make a bit of homework, then play another game, then alt-tab again. Works fine for me personally.

Set yourself a schedule and stick to it. Plan out your week and cross things off as you complete them. Nothing feels better than setting goals and being able to successfully achieve all of them.

I find that the smarter you are, the more you procrastinate.
The reason for this is because you can afford to spend less time on work and get used to it.

    how to avoid procrastination?

Small goals. Sometimes it is overwhelming looking at everything you need to do all at once, which then means you probably get a little flustered and struggler. Each day before everything make a list of things you would like to get done, and tick those bad-boys off once you've done them.

Also get into a routine. Wake up, go to the gym, work, socalise etc. Routine helps productivity. Don't spend all night at the computer, if you need to put a few hours in your day for that and leave it at that.

Also exercise and eat healthy, healthy body = healthy mind
