    How to get an ip address from an email
    Today I'll show you how to get an ip address from an email that someone sent you.


    Alright now I bet you're tired of all the phishing emails, well today I'll show you how to get their ip address.

    I'll show you how on
    Gmail
    Yahoo
    Windows Live Messenger

    First up Gmail

    Step one

    First you're going to want to pick the email that you want to trace, next follow these steps.

    It won't work for emails from yahoo, gmail, hotmail, or any other large providers...

    It used to, though.

    It's useful for telling if an email was forged or not. ^^

    Well this is a great guide. 8/10. Some haters in my school likes to send me stupid emails...well I am going to get them back by knowing their ip addresses. This way, pranking them is not so difficult. Ty mate.

    I had written a much more comprehensive and detailed guide on this years ago. Your guide does not make it clear which address is the senders, the mailserver's IPs are listed after Recieved: and Sent: as well.
