RuneScape Website/Servers Completely Down

Well, with what's been going on recently with their servers - this doesn't overly come at a surprise.

 

I've been having problems with it all day.

 

Lizard fags are hitting the servers offline. They scheduled a massive attack vs Runescape and LoL.

 

Who are lizard fags?

 

Group of skid kids who boot in a group so that its more powerful.

 

How do you know it's lizard fags and not some random person?

 

Knowing how money hungry this company is, I wouldn't be surprised if they downgraded their servers.

 

One person isn't capable of knocking off the entire basket of servers on RS let alone LoL.

An average RS world takes ~81Gbps to hit off, no one person can distribute that among 20+ worlds.

 

it's been down since the system update of Boss Slayer on & off. If anything I'd just say major traffic for the update.

 

The rs servers are pretty shit, but idk it might just be jagex fiddling with some shit in the worlds, idk why idiots would even care about ddosing rs though lol...

 

Doubt it, oldschool was affected as well.

I agree. When the servers crashed because their name change tool was flooded with players they said that they're server can't handle more than a few thousand players. (They said this on their twitter).

So yeh I bet they have lol.

 

Its a DDoS attack. Rollbacks MIGHT happen but nothing been decided.

Runescape is up and working for me now. But it is extremely laggy. Not the kind of lag where it disconnects for periods of time but constant lag and it takes a while to click everything. Seems like the ddos attack is taking a little effect.
