Where did you/do you/are you going to college?

I stayed at home for my first degree (University of Calgary; BSc Computer Science), but I'm planning on heading to a different campus for a second degree once I'm done this one, though.

 

I think the rest of the world has a different definition of College... which is Uni.

Here I think our Colleges are essentially community colleges but a different name.

Anyway I was doing some I.T. course a few years back, however as the course went on the rest of the class was pretty much very immature + stupid. There was a load of drama in College I just didn't need, and the course itself was just... shit. I rarely got help if I asked for it and it was pretty stressful in the programming class where I would be reading the same instructions as everyone else but the programming just didn't make any sense to me, it was pretty annoying when everyone else was just speeding through it and the fact that if I put my hand up for help then the tutor would always be too busy to help out.

I just dropped out near the end as I felt I was wasting my time. Turn the clocks forward to now I'm an I.T Assistant Manager in a company that has a turnover of £50,000,000+ a year and I got in with barely any qualifications (it was sort of referred through a friend thing. Either way the pay is excellent for my age and most importantly it's a job I enjoy. Qualifications aren't everything (depending on the job sector).

 

Depends on how my grades are for the remainder of this degree. Too early to say if I'd get into a graduate program.

If I can't, I'll probably study Business.

 

I am currently doing a Electronic Tech. Program as my major for my college. From there i have potential to go into several fields, and i like all to do with computers, technology itself etc etc.

 

I have had a pretty boring/uneventful/unmotivated college experience
1 semester at a community college.
Joined the army.
Got out of the army and got my associates at the same community college lol.


But this September I'm starting underwater welding school in NJ (Divers Academy) that I am actually very excited about. Which is pretty cool because I could see myself really enjoying the work atmosphere, and the fast pace of it all...and it can be quite lucrative! I enjoy scuba diving so hopefully I enjoy this as well!

 

St. Cloud State University.

Accounting major with a minor in business management.

EDIT: Probably should add that I'm going to be heading there in the fall. Only like 23 days until high school is over, including weekends!

 

Good luck to you man! My girlfriend is an accountant, she was absolutely hating life while in college but now she just got into a pretty sweet firm starting at 55k/year at 23 years old. They're also paying for her to get her CPA...so stick with it bro!!

Well I'm currently failing the fuck out of school because I don't want to do my fucking homework.

I didn't go to university but I did a college course for firefighting if that counts haha!

 

BYU all day.

 

University of Queensland, Brisbane Australia studying chemical engineering. Might take an exchange over to Rutgers in NJ if I can be assed to get the money together though.

 

University Of Toronto ... Nuclear Engineer ... earned degree ... work at OPG (Ontario Power Generation).

 

Never going to school again. I'll likely be bombed or shot at.

 

Going to community college, grades not good enough for scholarship, and not enough money to go directly to a four-year college. Plan to get my AA and go to Florida State University to study Religious Studies and Philosophy.
Plans will likely change, but that's the general direction.

 

I go to college at UCLA it's a good school but it's really expensive so I don't know if I can stay much longer

 

Has anyone taken business? I'm thinking of taking it for UNI
