How would you see/suggest Sythe branching to other markets?

Sythe needs to switch its focus from Runescape and become a blackmarket that is focused on games in general. I believe if Runescape is going to have its own discussion section then other popular games should as well. Same for the Runescape market section.

Add more game discussion forums

There needs to be more discussion sections for other games where people can advertise different servers/clans.

I think the site could also use a new makeover to help with all of this.

 

You're right. I can agree with this. Sythe does need to switch its focus from Runescape however.

Only ideas I have for gathering an audience would be to somehow attract people from Twitch/Youtube.

 

Forums, in general, are dying out for casual talking. What's the point of talking on forums when you have discord? For arbitrary numbers? Like post count and likes? So that means the forums are strictly for business, and even then, once a buyer/seller sees something they like, they take the conversation to discord. You would need to get rid of discord to make this site thrive like it once again.

Would that be possible though? Most of the popular streamers seem anti-rwt, at least in terms of runescape and by appearance. They may not actually be but for the public persona they seem so.

 

I think so yes. Sythe would need to sponsor people who play games where rwt-ing isn't really an issue or thought of. Games like Call of duty. Viewers could be watching a well known Cod player and he could have Sythe in his bio or even just mention it for a second.. and that would bring in tons of traffic for those that play more than just call of duty.

Sythe could also try to sponsor someone like Adin Ross. He use to play video games a lot and that was how he built his audience however now he just regularly streams videos with rappers, famous instagramers, etc. Imagine if he shouts out Sythe.. tons of traffic just from that with no repercussions.

Something like this might cost but the owner could definitely make up for it in the long run with donations, ads, etc.

 

Someone like Adin Ross won't promote something under 25k or probably more. And even so, I believe if we did get someone to sponsor, it would only improve our discord server. We need to hit that demographic that enjoys forum posting.

 

He was just an example, I know he would cost a lot. Also I disagree. I believe it will improve both the site and the discord. The sponsors will push for people to join the site and to use the site. If Sythe wants to be more discord centric then that's fine too. Sponsors could push for both things.

I think we need to hit every demographic tbh and just make more and more people aware about Sythe. There is a lot of people out there who only know about real world trading but have never tried it or engaged in it because they don't know where to start.

 

Great ideas. That type of advertising should be a lot cheaper as well.

 

Sythe is such a niche community that it would be hard to pay famous people to promote the site. After all, Sythe sells/buys both GP and accounts on RS and other games, which breaks the game's rules. Also, add on botting to that list. It doesn't seem easy to me unless we find someone famous who aligns well with Sythe's activity.

 

Currently yes, but Sythe could promote other/change it’s primary behaviors. Or at the very least start to promote other activities for games.

 

I can almost say with certainty that Sythe will not change its primary behaviors

 

I don't think it needs to change its behaviors but I do think it should promote other gaming activities such as server advertisements.
