Any way to beat Nex armor?

Today in clan wars with my triumvirate clan, I was in pro hybriding gear (i.e. ahrims arcane stream bandos claws etc.) and a player on the opposing team had full torva pernix and virtus with divine and a unicorn.

The battle was prayer and summoning only. This person gets a 400 lp advantage over everyone else, takes 70% or normal damage, and his armor makes melee a futile effort.

So I was 1v1 hybriding him and get him down to about half health every time before I die.

I just want to know the sythe community's opinion about this armor. My opinion is that there should not be an armor that is so devastatingly superior to the next best armor of that class. It takes skill out of the equation when hybriding in my opinion.

What do you guys think?

 

I have over 10 sets that I've never sold, if you had the armor you wouldn't be complaining, and it is far superior than others i must say.

 

I'm not complaining, I'm just getting the sythe community's opinion on it. And if i sold my phat I could buy it if I wanted it.

 

The same happens with rune to dragon, dragon to barrows, etc... The next armor is supposed to be better and so is nex armor. There would be not point in making the next armor almost the same as the previous one. And besides: that's why ahrims + bandos is 50m and nex is 500m+

 

But the difference between rune -> dragon and dragon -> barrows etc. is that the only superiority there was the stat bonus. Adding an additional 400 lp is putting the armor in a completely different league.

 

Well yeah that is indeed true. If it'd have the same bonus it has without the 400lp it would be ok. But I guess that's why it has the price it has. Almost nobody have it and you don't see people pking in them too often so it's ok for me.

 

The new armour is a perfect addition. Hell, if you can somehow combo them, and get the drop in pvp, it's worth it. These people are obviously risking high because the rewards and bonuses are so great.

If you can't beat them, join them.
If you can't join them, don't fight them.

 

I've seen people risking the same as a normal rune pker wearing full torva unskulled. Therefore they are almost unkillable and risk nearly nothing.

i agree its unfair, but hey they made the money to use it so just let em use it

 

More expensive armor has never had this kind of advantage, for example, bandos armor is great for strength bonus along with medium to high defence bonus, yet barrows armor has much better defence bonuses for a fraction of the cost. There is simply no alternative to this kind of armor, as it has both strength bonus and massive defence bonuses.
