[Basic Knowledge] How to keep your account secure

Have seen way too many kids crying about getting hacked lately so this might be helpful some of you.

    1. Create a brand new Outlook or Gmail account which you're only going to use for RuneScape

    2. Use a long ass strong password and double check it here and here
So instead of John1990 you should try something like 1990JohnTheSlayer

    3. Enable Two-Step Authentication on your brand new made mail.
    For Outlook
    For Gmail

    4. Link the brand new mail with your RuneScape account (account settings on the RS3's homepage)

    5. Enable Two-Step Authentication on your RuneScape account

    RuneScape - Authenticator

    6. Enable an in-game bank pin, do not use your year of birth but instead some random combination like 9032. And yeah I know that it sucks having to enter it with every single log it but it will suck even more when you get hacked.

    7. Install a proper antivirus program, the free version of Webroot link will suffice

    8. Try to use your brain for once and DO NOT DOWNLOAD RANDOM SHIT ON THE INTERNET

    9. Update your Java, browser plugins every now and then. DO NOT RUN OLD SHIT

Congrats, there's no chance of getting hacked as long as you don't use the e-mail, password and pin anywhere else other than on the official RuneScape servers/website.
