Not really, in that "Who's joining the military" thread, .Karl was the only person who managed to provide a well explained, sensible opinion. To be honest I was a little frightened by the end of that thread by both the OP's eagerness to join the military and his inability to spell simple words.

[MILITARY]Why do you support Unnecessary Death?

I don't know why I chosen to join my country army, I can just say that. For first thing, I wasn't good at school, I wasn't good at anything at all, just a medium guy who does follow others. When the time came for me to decide, what should I do in my life, I started to search anything that would interest me. Couldn't find anything.... After a long search, I met one guy who lives near me, he is somekind of army veteran, he was telling some storys for me and friend who were listening. At the first thought it wasn't something real, It just was funny at thats all, but I still knew I have to start doing something.. After few months of me being lost at my life, my friend who came back from some mission was really impressed about all that. He said all the 'MASSIVE INNOCENT PEOPLE KILLING' stuff was just a big bubble of bluff. After all those storys, I made some not so bad opinion about military and army. Then I joined the army, it was pretty cool with all the new stuff I started to learn, the first time in my life I was very excited about things I decided to do. Now Im 19ish guy serving for my country and im proud of it. I know, I know, there's no war in my country, but the experience from the time I came in, tells me, my mates words were true about all that. In my country, you have to serve for minimum of 4 Years, just then you can choose if you want to go to missions, or not. That was my story, will follow this thread :) Thanks for reading everyone, if you did.

Killing people takes a lot of guts you need to be born with it... I would never ever ever do it unless its a situation where i gotta do what i gotta do and there are no alternatives.

I have a question aswell, Why make a thread that you know is only going to cause an argument as we can see from the first one, why not just leave it alone?

I'm not joining the military, but I support it.

And, as someone already said, you slandered everyone's opinion in the title of this thread. Your opinion is clearly stated, and very vaguely and wrongly supported.

The deaths caused by military action are not unwarranted or unnecessary. As long as there are disagreements, there WILL be war and there WILL be violence. We as a species have no yet evolved to a point at which we can solve problems any other way. People like you make me cringe.. You bash people who realized the truth just so you can seem smarter and have an undeserved sense of intelligence.

The fact is, war is completely necessary to keep peace within the world. Yes, it seems like war as a solution to peace-keeping is idiotic, and it's a little bit insane if you really think about it. That's where people like you stop thinking and post your idiotic pompous opinions without realizing the harsh truth at hand.

Once you single-handedly discover an alternative to war, you can bash the military and every other organization that doesn't preach the stupid anti-war/anti-violence shit. Until then, keep your uneducated and unrealistic opinions to yourself. That goes for the rest of the people in this world who seem to think they have a supreme knowledge of what happens in this world.

We don't support unnecessary death. We support the people who risk their lives for are safety back home, not the government who sent them into battle.

You say your not going to slander our opinion but your thread title says other wise. I fully support the troops and what their doing. I wouldn't say it's "Unnecessary death." They aren't there just to kill random people. They are doing their job to keep our country safe. Yes, some others are hurt in the conflict but sometimes you can't control things like that. Personally I really dislike people who "slander" the army. My brother was in the marines and after finding out what they went/go through it's a big thing. We take our safety for granted.

I'm In the United States Army. IMO, It's kill them there, or have them kill us here. I'd rather kill them in their country then have them kill my daughter at home.

I may join as a IT engineer, I don't see any action. I don't want to have the guilt hang over my head every single day that I took another human being's life, regardless of who they are.
