Think im fucking around? read around. You must pay for the Current EoC runescape and the fees that the 2007 servers will bring since im sure we probably wont reach 750k votes.

i honestly wish i could slap jagex workers because i bet if they released a 2007 version for just 5/month they would have more people pay for that than the current eoc runescape.

I dont know about you, but i would definitely play 2007scape for 5/month. But most likely not 13..

You say this as if you're the only person to acquire the PUBLIC information that there will be additional fees to play Runescape 2007 (providing we dont hit 500k or 750k votes), thank you for the update nobody on Sythe was aware of.

Secondly, we are definitely going to achieve level 2 (250k votes) which will mean there is only a $5 additional fee to play the Runescape 2007 server, are you really that much of a cheapskate that you're not willing to pay $5 extra to relive the prime of RS?

These servers will fail, it's a nice moneymaking scheme for jagex though.

It'll probably reach 250k votes, but not 500k. That means that it'll cost an additional $5/month to play. I'm sure most voters will pay at least once, so thats like $1 million+ just for bringing some old code online.

Once everyone has had their fill of nostalgia, and considering everyone starts on a new character, which means the economy will suck (not to mention the competition for the exact same training spots), the new servers will slowly become like rsc.

 

It's not just nostalgia. It was a fun game back then. There a plenty examples of large numbers of people playing games much older than 2007 rs today for the same reason.

 

I'm pretty sure the votes will reach at least 250k. We still have just under 2 weeks of time remaining.

Pretty much anybody who has seen the Runescape homepage, is aware of the situation regarding vote levels and additional fees, especially Sythe users. Perhaps you should read the current Runescape general section threads before posting your own spam thread.

I never stated that the total cost in your currency doesnt indeed equal $13, so again please read before posting more spam, the point i was making is that this new server is coming back only for a maximum of $5 extra than the current price, and that you're a cheapskate for going apeshit for having to pay a penny more for Jagex to implement something which goes out of their way to please the veteran community.

Nobody is forcing you to buy anything, so pay the extra $5 or gtfo back to World of Warcraft, that you are so happy to pay $15/month for evidently.

 

I can live with the $5 fee for the 07 servers but I don't think I'll pay more than that. EoC might have ruined all of my previous joy of PvP minigames, like Castle Wars & Soul Wars, but it's surely improved PvM, skilling as well.

 

I'm quite happy to pay $5 extra a month for some good ol' 07 Runescape. Although, if we end up falling short of the 250k votes (Which I doubt) then I don't see myself pay the extra for access to the 07 Servers.

Now that it's 2013, I've discovered games that really more skill than luck. I probably won't play 2007scape solely for the fact that the PvP depends more on luck than we like to admit. While I feel nostalgic about 2007scape, there's no way that it's worth $13/month in this age and time.

 

W/e the cost ill pay maximum 25$/month its still cheap for the best mmorpg ever!

 

Honestly, 13$ for a month worth of entertainment sounds like a steal to me. You can get 13$ in like 6 hours of doing surveys if you really wanted to grind. Its honestly pointless to complain about the 13$. Value of things is going to be hot at the start as well, so you could play that month and sell some of your gold at the end for an additional $13.
