how many bots you think i could run with this?

what you think i could run with this yes i know the price is 6.1k i need a new computer anyway. so what are your thoughts on bots i could run?

 

Laptops aren't made for botting and no it won't run 20-25 bots, you need atleast 12gig of ram to run 20 bots w/o crashes or lag, also cpu isn't good enough.

 

are you sure? anyway whats a computer you would suggest to run 20+ bots im going to start by buying one then expanding

 

with 2.9Ghz you could only run like 5-6 bot max because the CPU will max before the RAM does, and as i said above laptop aren't the best choice.

the Computer itself doesn't matter, all you need is high CPU & RAM.

 

You're correct and quite wrong at the same time.

Laptops are a not a good call for botting due to heating problems etc. as others have stated. But you do not need 12 gigs to run 20+ bots I currently am running 28 bots on the computer I am on now with 8gb of ram and I have about 300mb of ram left out of my resources.

On this topic Ebay tends to be your friend price wise, and if you know how to build one yourself that makes the price even cheaper.

I would suggest on ebay searching for a computer that has a minimum of a

Quad core 3.0+ GHZ processor [ I have a amd phenom II on this computer]
6+ GB of ram [ I'm running 8 but to use all 8 of the ram you need to know more about computers to set it up to where the processor can handle it]

Hard drive: smaller the better you wont need much for botting and the larger Hd's can cost a nice chunk in your total avaible cash.

Video card: get on board unless you plan on using it for a gaming computer, as your bots wont need much as long as you dont have them all viewable at the same time. this will take a huge amount from the price of the computer.

Cooling: I'd suggest getting some 120mm fans for it water cooling is good and generally better but it also takes a bit more knowledge to setup etc.

OS: if you are familliar with linux don't bother with this, its just another 50-100$ to add to the price.

This next one will more than likely run out of ram before the cpu does so you can always upgrade but ram is rather cheap and extremely easy to switch out you can always upgrade this later after your farm gets going.

For HDD a standard user should buy harddrives no bigger then 2TB, although I think its better to buy 1tb if you have space. 5400RPM should also be fine if you are on a budget, but if you can afford 7200 I would recommend that

 

in my opinion a PC is alot better than a laptop due to a more powerful hard drive and RAM in general. If you want a botting computer buy a PC with a good hard drive and load it up with extra RAM.

Stopped reading after I saw the word "Alienware".

I honestly suggest building your own pc from scratch to get the best bang for your buck. $6100 for a pc is just INSANE lol. What is this computer being used for that it requires those crazy specs, other than botting?
