PayPal asking for identification

Due to EU regulations I can only receive a set amount of money every year until I provide identification. It's not that I don't have any identification, but according to the PayPal ToS you have to be 18 to use PayPal (something I learned later on). So should I show them my original identification, modify it or something else? What will happen if I show them my original identification, which states that I'm 17?

 

If PayPal see that you are under 18 I believe that they will close your account. certainly know it has happened in the past

The only real option I can see is you create a fake I.D and set a different country (Such as Australia) for your PayPal. Mind you if they see that you're accessing the PayPal from another country, they may just limit you there too.

PayPal are a bit of a pain unfortunately :/

 

yeah man i've had this last year too i created my first paypal account and because i was under 18 my account had to provide idetification just do it and it'll be fine from there on

 

For UK PayPal accounts, you just state business information, even for a Premier account like if your a sole trader, average transaction amount, type of services/products you'll be offering etc. and it removes the receiving limits.
