Incresed defender drop rate?

Hey, i heard a rumour that if after each kill of a cyclops you walk out and back in that it increases your drop rate? Is this true? If not does anyone know any methods that do actually work?

I'm pretty sure if you use points in everything it increases your drop rate.

 

Yeah if you use all the points your drop rate is increased AND the giants drop two noted big bones.
