Do you think RS will fall because of botting?

Just curious, do you think that botting will cause the fall of RS?

 

RS isn't going to end until Jagex says so, these threads have become so redundant that it is stupid.

 

I suppose you're right. But it is quite scary, realistically speaking that the entire ingame economy is run by bots.

 

Bots have been around since the nearly the start. It will be fine lol.

 

True, but bots truly surfaced in 2007. It's hard to say what will happen really, Jagex may do something eventually, but when that eventually is? I don't know.

 

They'll release a new skill.

what is going to happen is, bots will get out of control, jagex will give up finally and just let the game die slowly. all legit players will quit. then some company will offer jagex to buy rs from them. probably blizzard or some other. jagex sells rs and moves on to stellar dawn. the new company brings rs back to normal like it was in 2006. graphics and all will be obv new but the botting problem and all wil be finished

 

Botting has definitely gotten worse since 08/09. I'd give the game 5 years max till it's sell by date. Jagex will probably concentrate more on stelllar dawn and direct more resources towards it. Bots will be the downfall of runescape.

 

yeah, with all the new technology/cpu specs people can set up massive bot farms, five years ago setting up these bot farms would be way more expensive and not worth it.

 

if they were gonna give up on rs it would have been done long ago. and nobodys gonna shut down they're company when they're making a profit am i right? botting is good for rs and will keep money in jagex's pocket and who isnt happy when they got a pocket full of cash am i right?

 

That is actually somewhat an option yes. And I wouldn't be surprised if it happend!

 

Yes I think so because gold is dropping drastically, so will rs economy soon.

no there is only so many bots because of the ease of botting and the decent profit, when profits drop enough a lot of botters will quit botting and after time the ecnomy will go back to normal or at least until the bots come back again.

 

I think that this could happen, but I hopethat it will not.

No as it has been around for so long, they ban some off players to make legit players happy from time to time

 

Why is it that SOOOO many people are concerned about runescape "falling".
