How far will phats crash?

I have been long time friends with a very famous merchanter, probably since 2006. (he will go un-named as i know for sure that he does not use the black market and would probably hate me if he knew i did). He recently sold the majority of his phat collection and warned me to the watch the prices (if i had one, lol), cus i could lose a serious amount of money. he has been merchanting these things since the start if rs2.

i have always wanted a partyhat, now that i am closing in on one, i am unsure if i should buy one when i can or wait.

it is currently believed that blues will be around 1.5b as the most expensive phat

 

For how long have they been crashing? And if Blue's are that low I won't be surprised if you can get a Phat for less then a bil

 

they have been slowly dropping for a couple weeks not. blues are not that low now, but i was told they will be after all is said and done

 

Blue will never be less than 3.5b, be assured of that, and yes I do speak from experience, the removal of bots has had a little spiral effect,but it'll change again soon.

 

I think the chance of them of crashing is pretty high if that gold dupe was real..

 

I think partyhats are bound to crash but will eventually raise in the future , so just wait some weeks if your plan is to buy one.

 

rares always crash around this time of year, i remember santa's being 80m last year at this time and now look at them, they always go back up in the summer when all the kids have time to play again

 

See'ing as how the economy is getting back up on its feet, and Rares are going to become a lot more cheaper due to no more RS Gold Farming, i'd say all the way down to the 3 digits. (In 100M's)

 

i don't think they'd drop to that cheap, i think it'll just be less than originally but not as cheap as what they are now, certainly not 1.5

Since the price of gold got higher, the rares will keep dropping.

 

Hopefully blue phats will crash down to like 5M so I can buy one and rise back up to 3B+ of course

 

i think rares will keep dropping... however, don't believe what everyone's opinion is 100%... you never know what can change.

 

Didn't realise Partyhats were dropping however I did notice that other rares were/have dropped.

But I hope Partyhats do keep dropping then maybe I can finally afford one.

 

honestly phats will never drop majorly becuase they are a rare.. i think mod coleman or mmg (cant remember which) but once said that runescape loses like 1 phat/month which doesnt seem like a lot but after a year thats over 25b+ out of the game. rares like that will only rise in the future becuase of their rarity and what goes up must go back down but in phats case it wont go down much just back up in a week or two

 

all partyhats are continuing to drop, and other than blue, the street prices are all up to few hundred mil below the g/e price, anyone change their thoughts?

 

Purples are about 950m street now... when phats crash they crash hard like -50m in just a single day so I reckon purple/yellow/green will go as low as 600-700m

 

that's what i was thinking, and yea i've been watching the prices daily

 

why do Phats crash like this? What catalyzes it?
