How long till RS3 game dies.

I think that both games are now dying. The fact people stake doesnt help either. More people wish to stake then actually play the game, which starts to ruin it because people dont want to grind 10 hours for 10m anymore

 

RS3 won't die, it'll always have the WOW audience typa players and the newer runescape players that newer experienced osrs typa gameplay before.

 

Were you one of the regulars at SC back in the day? There's a good chance we knew each other if you were there a lot.

 

Stealing creations, loved that because of the free runes 10 years ago

 

rs3 died when it came out imo, the same day when people logged in and out directly when they seen it.

Lol how ironic. People whining about RS3's micro-transactions being 'unfair' P2P when this WHOLE website is literally built on RWT and PAY-2-PLAY lol. By that same argument I can also go on Sythe and pay 12000$ for a couple billion gp, pay a team to train my account 24/7 on all skills and max it out all in a month. And then?

You still need:
1) The skills and experience to even pvm/boss properly or your maxed out acc is basically useless; And even with max stats, most if not all of OSRS/RS3's endgame bosses/content like GWD, raids etc have a steep learning curve and are almost impossible to solo if you've never done them before
2) Friends to enjoy this game and its content with
3) A pvming clan nice enough to accept that you RWT'd/Micro-transacted your arse to max and need to be babysat every bossing trip

Wanna bash RS3, at least choose a better reason lmfao.

 

: ) rs3 ded. JK. I think people say RS3 is P2P is because of jagex's micro-transactions that they put into the game in itself. Whereas, 07 doesn't have much micro-transactions like rs3. (ex. RS3 has Solomon store to get exp lamps and gp / 07 has BONDS.) Getting back on topic tho, RS3 will probably get a boost with 07, people will eventually get bored of 07 and then turn to RS3. I really hopped that jagex realizes that their UI is hard to manage. In 07, It takes 10 secs to figure out your hotkeys. Took me 30 minutes to realize the hotkeys on RS3 and I haven't even changed it yet.

I think the MTX is going to keep RS3 alive for a long while. I don't remember the exact number, but i remember reading somewhere that the MTX from RS3 make more than the membership sales. But I am not 100% sure on that.

 

They should just remove RS3 completely and swap it with an old school server similar to that of a private server.

 

It would die sooner or later. It won't bring any profits unless they make a game changing choice to better their game.

Everything else looks fine to me.

 

The moment house parties in Rimmy on w31 stopped being a thing is when I started to have thoughts of the game dying

 

It'll keep going on, numbers will get small though. Always a small group of guys playing games like that. Doubt they will make money for much longer though

 

OSRS is going to get microtransactions soon i feel and after that if the RS3 player base goes down its going to get the point where its not worth anymore for jagex and they will close
