How long till RS3 game dies.

It probably may never die

Only good thing about RS3 is the Endgame bossing/raiding. And it takes a shit-ton of time to get there.

 

Give it 5 years and I see ~10k players on at a time

 

Honestly, I don't even know how it managed to survive this long. I expected it to die a few years back already.

 

They will be counting on mobile play bringing it back to life.

 

Yeah I doubt it will die completely in the foreseeable future. It is still probably one of the top 5 mmorpg’s by playercount.

its going downhill so i don't see it lasting as long to be honest, then again i don't see them getting rid of it, i think OSRS will be their winning game

 

yet still rs3 is jagex main game

 

Yeah it's there main game although its completely trash it's still took alot of work getting it to the place its at today. If they could manage to get in to run on phones i expect it would fly up in players but i went on a while back made my old acc membs, got gear and started playing.. 4-7 days later and yet to see anybody playing so i logged of the game as it was a ghost game to me. With the virtual good rares being so expensive i can't see it dying anytime soon and with jagex constantly devolving new things to draw players in they're just waiting for the reboot to kick in were all the new people find out about the game and have a flood in. This hasn't happened in many years

 

Not sure it will die anytime soon. Osrs players might hate it but a lot of the newer runescape players love it. If they continue to take the game in the right direction, it can actually grow and attract all of the newer generation kids.

 

agree, although i think the older generation atm was always used to playing osrs and thats why they still play it along with many other reasons ofcourse wich i obviously wont have to mention.
and as a noob to runescape you can either pick osrs and rs3, and ofcourse rs3 looks nicer and more interesting with graphics and such wich is why new people to runescape start on rs3 and think osrs is boring

 

i dont think rs3 will ever 'die' even my oldest brother who played osrs for over 10 years when it was first out recently got back into runescape and the 07 side of things didnt intrest him anymore he hopped on rs3 saying it was better and funner

 

Player count is declining very slowly. They are adding new content without fixing/removing the old ones. I don't mind the constant TH promos but they need to really revamp some of the skills as they were supposed to before 2018.

Yeah thats why 07 will die before rs3 does

Mostly only old runescape players will come to 07.
Rs3 looks so much better for new players.
