How Long Does it Take for Wal-Mart to do Inventory?

First, and foremost: If this doesn't belong here, tell me IMMEDIATELY, please.

I got a pre-screening call for a job at Wal-Mart. I really need it, and they told me after that they were going to do Inventory next week (the week that just passed), and they'd phone me back after they were done if I got an interview. That was the 2nd. I haven't got a call yet. I'm wondering if I missed my chance, I really need this job. What do you think the chances are that I missed out on the job?

When I phone to ask for the Hiring Manager and ask for a application status update, and I get the same, generic, "We do all of our hiring through our website."

 

1 night I think? I could be wrong so don't panic

 

You won't be getting the job. Inventory is done all the time, sorry to say. I was a truck unloader and we kept track of everything..constantly. (yes i know im not there anymore but it couldn't have changed..i'm a manager at mcdonald's) The pre-screening job was done as a check on who you are. How you answered to anything they said determined if you were going to get the job. I plan on writing a guide to getting hired in at jobs for fellow sythe users when i start a UE application But anyways, calling up and checking on your application status in bad economic times wouldn't get you anywhere, it's merely an annoyance to the clerk answering the phone.

 

Have you ever been into a wal-mart at night? Like 2AM ... That is when they do their inventory.

So it just takes overnight; not a week, or few.
