How risky is stake trading?

Bit new to the RWT game here. I understand Stake Trading is fairly common to make the transactions look a bit more like the gambling a lot of people do in game.

I've definitely been known to visit the duel arena in the past, with well over 1k duels done. I'm looking at purchasing a bill though, and I'm not sure how safe something like that could be. I know people stake amounts like that legitimately all the time, but I certainly haven't been.

I assume it would be hard to detect for Jagex though, as so many people visit the duel arena on a daily basis. Hiding in plain sight. I assume its better than just trading an account in 50-100m increments to a low level account.

How long have some of you been doing this for? Any bans you've received from duel trading in the past?

 

No one knows. Thats like saying its hard to detect trades cuz theres thousands of trades done a day. Id imagine winning a 1b stake vs a nothing bet is even more suspicious than just getting 1b traded over tbh...It is known that buyers arent punished too harshly though if that puts you at ease

 

i have bought/sold alot of gold and never staked it, and i have never been banned.
i think staking makes it look more legit, but if you're buying 500m and have a 100m bank you will have a hard time making the stakes look legit if you keep losing. if the cash amounts arent equal on both sides of the stake, i would just trade it to avoid it looking to fishy.

 

Trade about 3B total to level 3s in Varrock east in F2P on a level 126 in increments of like 50Ms. Not been banned

If was to recommend a tip it would be to sell at like 1-2 AM GMT time i assume that way you could avoid any manual ban
