These are some of my recent games playing with some support players.

Granted, I haven't done Summoner's Rift in ages... Kayle's autoattacks pwn erryone =].

Edit: I'm not a fan of support lol... when I was forced to take a bot slot I'd take all the kills... screw you other person.... so yeah I'm horrible >.>.

 

A few games means nothing, everyone has their good games and bad games. I've done amazing from time to time, I've also just been destroyed countless times.
I'd rate myself as an average support player.

 

I can...not support.

SUPPORT IS TOO HARD, i instinctively last hit haha.

 

I main support>ADC>Jungle (Only play ranked, so the below is only ranked games).

On my Oceania account I rarely support, as I can ADC far better with 30 ping opposed to NA 250, so I'm yet to have any real stats support wise there (just hit Diamond 4 on it). I assume if I get higher I'd start supporting, as my support is easily D3 capable, but not other roles.

Prob going to learn Nami/thresh soon, yet to actually play them, as they're banned basically errygame I play.

 

Ye I get destroyed most of the time but I eventually end up going on a huge winning streak and gaining countless levels per day im not 30 yet but if I keep this streak up I will be.

 

You're the exact reason why I hate people in League of Legends..

I enjoy supporting, supporting a good ADC is so rewarding, but it is possibly one of the hardest roles. When to enagage, where to ward, wheres their Jungler? Timers.. Its a tough role, but you're not relied on much late game.

 

I am a beast with support thresh but sometimes I get a bit too agressive I have had a few unofficial pentakills (stupid tryn ulti or gaurdian angels always ruin my pentakills) as thresh support when I buy a zekes herald (telling my adc to skip lifesteal and go ie) and had a few pentassists for my adc's

 

Ye support is a bit challenging for me with Taric much so late game because of the power of the stun. I have no problem not taking cs and warding, denying ganks ect. but when it comes to late game killing im just to OP late game with taric to meh. ..

 

Taric sucks late game and early game he is more of a niche pick now there is no reason to pick him over say Lulu, Thresh (except perma banned), Janna, Sona, or even Zyra. I think volibear support is more viable then Taric I have had even a ranked game back when I was plat I 2v1 bot lane with Volibear support and won lane when my ADC never connected and we won. A good support is someone who can contribute to a fight like lulu polymorph spam, aoe slow pro ulti and shields not someone who spams heals on the carry hoping the carry can 1v5.

Picking Taric only works if other support is terrible. If you pick Taric and I get thresh I will be hiting 25% per hit auto's early game on you or your ADC and you have no counterplay other then trying to play super passive.

I played Taric a few times after his nerf once I built a maramana and was even 1v1ing mid's but these are exceptions he isn't good vs people who know how to support he doesn't do anything well he is not a support anymore his stun nerf killed him.

If he isn't banned when I am going support I play 9/21 ad tank thresh with runes armour marks/seals mr gylphs and gold per 10 quints or maybe lifesteal +ad if my adc is someone weak like Caitlyn

What can a Taric do to a thresh I can out poke your heal I have better CC not reduced by tenacity I am way Tankier then you and I out damage anyone at lvl 1 with opening flay (over 100 per auto's with no damage runes) you have a mana hungry heal with no poke.


Lets say I get a lulu once again I out poke your heals and you have no poke picking Taric is selfish for a support it means you do not know how to poke or carry your bot lane you rely 100% on your adc and do nothing but heal & ward.


You might win with him doesn't make him good I have a high win rate Sion jungle, Heim jungle, Annie jungle and other champs who are not viable doesn't make them good. If you are talking unranked also people in blind are bad I can 2v1 lanes with most supports that I play in unranked.


I main jungle and I know since Taric nerf I no longer need red buff or Tenacity to gank bot lane if its a Taric (his old stun needed tenacity to gank because 1.5 was too much early game) now by time he has stun even lvl 2 you have tenacity from the jungle item. I bet even if he was un nerfed he would still be mediocre just due to how viable the spirit of ancient golem is now.

Taric is forced to level up his heal now because his ADC is getting poked to death in a 1v2 so his stun takes forever to level up and needs too many levels to not suck.

Jungle and Support are the most important and hardest roles in higher elo they have all the info and map control your ADC is just a slave to right click where the support and jungle tell him to. Late game you are not relied on but you are still important to team fights for the protecting your HVT's.
