how does potential in pvp work?

hi i was just wondering how it works i mean if ur out in wild for 30mins and u die without getting kill u still have potential?

 

The higher your drop potential the higher chance of getting a better drop when killing someone.
You gain potential by carrying over 25k in f2p and 75k in p2p.
You can also get it by being in hot zones. Hot zones are populated places such as varrock and other major cities.

if u die without killing some1 does ur potentail stay?

 

You gain potential by standing in a pvp world with over 75k in p2p and over 25k in f2p. You gain more of this by standing in hot zones.

The more potential you have, the better loot you get when you kill someone.

yes, it stays.

You can log out, switch, come back a year later, it stays.

 

and every 30 mins. that your in the hot zone, it goes up and up.
