How do you secure a bought account to the max?

Hey guys i wus just wondering,
I bought a account like 2 weeks ago it dint have any recovs or email set at the time. The old owner of the account provided me the old information.
I wus just wondering how do i secure it to the max?
I set recovs changed the password set my email and made a bank pin. Is there anything i'm not aware of.
I have been around rs a long time but i never did much account buying/selling. Did i secure it to the max or can i improve the security some more?

As long as he has same IP as creation of account then he can pretty much recover it whenever he wants.

there was a topic on runescape forums to reset your accounts history, however this is only done if an account is repeatidly hacked.. you'd have to fake it getting hacked a few times etc.

No, what would happen is if he recovered then you attempted to recover with the questions you'd put in place, the account would be locked - he'd recover it from the lock, your recoveries would be removed and you'd never get it back.

The original IP is the ultimate recovery. If you fake a few "my account got hacked" situations then Jagex may clear the history of it.

Hmm so i maybe i should recover it from my work a few times,
And keep emailing Jagex after that from my home claiming it got hacked again?
Then they should clear the total history?

I don't think you really can. I bought an account a while back. It was the first and last account I'll ever buy from here unless from a HIGHLY trusted member. I bought the account to go staking with. It wasn't even that good of an account, but I figured with some work it could own. So I bought it, he provided me with ALL the info. All previous passwords, including the first. It had no recovs, but he provided me with what they used to be, and his bank pin. He even helped me register the account under my e-mail.

So anyway I played on it for a few days, then stopped. I went to check the account like a month or so later and now I see the account is locked. I don't think you truly can FULLY protect an account.

How do you secure a bought account to the max?

This is WHY I never purchase any accounts, and just either ask people to train my accounts or create my own pures from the very start.

Buy members, change password few times, get a bank pin.

Keep all information on what you do and add it into the extra information.

If he does take it back.. you will be able to get it back too. So make sure you have a bank pin if you decide to keep it! 9 times out of 10 They will take it back in the first few days.. and if they haven't took it back inside a month I think your sweet.

Well i have got it membs already chanced password 2 times. Added new recovs first day and changed them again. Also i know the original owner wus a mod on some forum. I'm gonna ask the guy i bought it from if i can have the name of that mod and ask him if he wus realy the original owner. So i think i'm good on this account. But i want to buy a few more accounts and thats why i wus wondering how to be sure.

Add membership, change passwords a couple times, add facebook to your account, make sure you get the oldest information. Add your email and recover it a few times to make sure that information is saved.

Sorry, I got a really good chuckle at that typo. Excuse my immature male mind. >_<

OT: Yeah, pretty much what everyone else is saying. If you buy an account from an original owner, there is ALWAYS a chance of it getting recovered.

Resetting an account's whole history is something new to me, however. It may be worth a shot, but I highly doubt it will work unless you know all of the account's information.

    EDIT: HI SANDER. ;)
