What is your religious stance?

been a while since i've seen one of these.

as the title says, what is your religious stance... something else for you to answer if you wish - why?

 

Atheist, although I do go to a catholic high school.

Why? There is strong argument to not believe in the relevance of a god's existence.

 

agnostic. It is idiotic for anyone to think they know the answer for sure. I would be more prone to the atheist side of the stick if i had to choose i suppose. but i like to keep an open mind, as i believe that is the real way to be "right".

do I think theism may have benefits? sure.
Do I sometimes see theists as pathetic, arrogant, ignorant beings who fail to question their existence? sure


i also attended catholic/christian private school from kindergarten-12th grade. It is sad to see the old friends I use to love and hang with cannot seem to think for themselves or outside the box. Can i stilll be friends with them? yeah. But it makes me really sad and i feel disconnected at times because I feel like I live amongst cavemen who cannot even realize what they actually believe in.

 

Atheism - There is no empirical evidence for the existence of God, and it does not satisfy me one bit to believe in one, or many.

Agnostic. I believe no one can possibly know whether or not there is a higher power. There will never be any proof of anything until you die, so I don't really see much point in thinking about it, let alone argue over it. Everyone is entitled to believe what they want, but no one should put down other people's beliefs since no one is really right anyways.

 

I am Catholic. I believe there is a God. There is a lot of valid scientific and logical evidence that a God does exist. We won't get into that though Religion can be just as sensitive as politics.

 

I am also an atheist.

 

Agnostic- No one knows an answer for sure.

 

I also have gone to catholic school since kindergarten, and I am agnostic.

I find it funny that everyone who comes out of catholic schools these days are free thinkers. We basically get God shoved down our throat from the moment we can comprehend things. I guess after living with it for so long, its easier to see its flaws.

 

I'm agnostic also, and funnily enough, I ended up being at a catholic primary school.

This made me laugh, honestly. My question is how do you know? Won't you be pissed if you end up in hell if Christianity was the only true religion, or what if you get reincarnated in a lower caste as with Hinduism? I just think that these claims are unsubstantiated.

I'm a very sceptic Christian, still unsure what I really am.

 

Believe we was put here by something. Don't believe entirely that our entire existence was pure luck of big bag making our planet perfect like 1 in a billion planets + the luck of bacteria slowly evolving over 100's of millions of years to make the person i am sitting on my ass on sythe forums right now.
Don't believe in a "god" however and certainly don't feel we should worship him.
Pretty much like to believe the whole scientific aspect of things, but don't believe that all this luck happened on it's own; SOMETHING MADE IT HAPPEN !
