I played since 02 or 03, but now when I sign in I sign right back off. How do you guys stay interested in it after all the mess Jagex created?

 

At its peak it was fab, back in 07-10 but I do agree RS3 isnt that good, shame everyone had to start again in 07, but it's what you make it i guess.

 

It's literally become just a part of what I do every day, like a habit.
Played over 10 years so it just becomes part of my routine.

 

It's a small part time job. Makes side cash running bot farms and selling gp, or exchanging for Ikov (which I stake on and make major returns)

 

I've been off it for 2 months now but will probably go back to it next year or something, I've wasted too much time of my life to just quit completely lol.

 

I started playing again recently, if it wasn't for 07 then I wouldn't have.

 

I think the key is to not overdo it, and take frequent extended breaks. Also always have goals. If you frequently find yourself sitting at the GE wondering what to do for an hour then you are doing it wrong.

 

Staking/gambling, Any form of doubling your bank and selling it again!

 

If I didn't suck at bot farms I would do that. But mine have been banned over and over

 

Safest way for you is to merch then

 

I prefer the different aspects and projects on Oldschool Runescape.

However, I always take an attraction to gambling and lose my progress.

 

Smart staking is the key , Either get a good low combat stat or max it all!

 

No such thing as "smart staking" man. Gambling will always end up in a loss at the end of the day.

I wouldn't be playing if they didn't release the 07 servers. But even then, I barely play now.

 

Most people dislike RS3, but I enjoy both 07 and RS3 the same. Honestly I actually like the fact of having two of the same games, but played in two different ways. I enjoy both the same, and like growing on 07 whilst still achieving high enough stats on RS3.

As said above though, I've also played since 2003 and RuneScape is literally a massive hobbie for me still to this day.

Everybody has their love hate opinions on RS3, but it's evolved and turned into something which is pretty cool despite the small problems like easy AFK, and Treasure Hunter, apart from that I like it all. Same as 07 for the nostalgic of it, so at least we can all be glad we have two games to play, and not just one everybody hates.
