Cracked Rib?

Well, basically today I was doing P.E(Physical Education) and we were doing gymnastics and I landed quite awkwardly and I felt something crack, my torso hurt a lot, at first I thought I was winded and that it would go away but sadly It hasn't. Any ideas?
If I'm off school tomorrow, will most likely go to the doctors and get a check-up.

Well sometimes I pop my rib here and there and it hurts but did you hear it? Either way you really should check it up. If it was broken you would see a lot of swelling on your torso.

Can you bend over easily? Can You twist left and right easily? Do you have limited movement in your upper body due to pain from that area? Did you feel dizzy after you fell?

 

Put some ice on it or some heating pad.

 

Same exact thing happened to me in Judo when I didn't breakfall properly because I didn't want to hurt my already broken fingers.
I was winded for like 20 minutes and I had to walk basically crouched, I went tlatraight to my friends and was just lying there on the floor while they were drinking lool they were sitting there calling me a faggot, turns out o had broken my ribs.
It hurt when I went to bed and rolled over for a few weeks/months I don't remember exactly how long but let say weeks.
The doctor just said rest, I just got on with my normal activites just slightly less active.

 

You would know if you had a cracked rib. I cracked mine in a skating accident and felt like I had the breath knocked out of me. Everytime I breathed in, I had a sharp pain in my side.

 

I break fingers and ribs all the time playing rugby. Its nothing to worry about, in a couple of weeks you'll be fine.

Go along to your doctor and get him to take a look. Better to be safe than sorry.

I reckon it probably is some kind of fracture of your rib. When I broke my collar bone a similar thing happend (I fell awkwardly and heard a crack, and then had a fair bit of pain when I tried to move my arm). Ribs don't usually take long to heal anyway, so it should be all good.

My cousin broke his rib when he was younger and didn't even realise it was broken. His doctor just noticed one day that he had a lump on one of his ribs where it had healed, and told him that he had broken it at some point (He never had the lump before).
