How to buy games through Russian Steam?

The prices for games in the Russian steam store are about 40% less of the US price. Is it possible to buy games through that and how?

Yep, I recall that a VPN works for this.

Not sure if you can still play online from your own ip adress afterwards, though.
I read something about this when CoD Black Ops came out and russian keys were cheaper.

 

None of the above works afaik. Only soln I got till now is to buy from some russian friend

 

Yes they do, you just didn't try it correctly or haven't tried it at all.

But if you buy it this way, there's a chance that you wont be able to play it on your computer.

Once, I borrowed the L4D account of a friend who lives in Singapore or so, but couldn't play it because the game was bought in that country.

 

Is it possible to buy using the browser where you can open the Russian store and add funds then buy?

 

How about buying as a gift through the store? Steam does not sell keys so no activation

SouthCarolina, the Russian VPN is the easy part. The problem is actually paying for the game.

You're going to need a card issued in Russia or you'll have to try getting WebMoney, ClickAndBuy, Yandex or QIWI to actually work since they don't accept PayPal on the Russian Steam site.

 

Use VPN to get your favorite games cheaper without the tax / and keep connected to the VPN service even after loading and activation. Using VPN will also increase your speed and encrypt your connection so you can't be banned or even detected.
