You can't edit thread titles to have effects or anything. If you mean how sometimes a thread looks bold when others don't, it's just bold to say there's been a new post in the thread since you last looked at it.

E.G.

 

[PlaySafeLad]

[I_DONT_BOT]

It'd get denied because of Brendans explanation above. It represents that there is a new post in the thread since you last viewed it.
