Why can't I pay for members using paypal?

Whenever I try to pay for membership using paypal it will always say payment failed. Does my paypal need to be linked to a bank account or credit card now? I remember a long time ago I was able to do it without a linked or verified account..

Also note that i'm trying to buy from a paypal account that is verified, although I recently unlinked my bank account.

 

Yes, You need to be "Verified" having a bank account attached or a credit card will do the trick.

 

I'm Bank Account verified and I'm having the same problem. I don't think that has anything to do with it.

 

I think I figured it out. I was trying to pay USD by saying my country was the United States however I have a canadian paypal account. It worked when I bought the membership as having my country as Canada, so I guess you have to make sure have your country set to what your paypal says your country is.
