How do I know if my bought osrs account is safe?

I bought a main on osrs how do I know if someone can recover it?

I changed the email
I did 2 step verification
I linked google/twitch
I made a paypal payment

Is there any possible way for it to be recovered still? And Am I able to see past payments made on the account?

Accounts are always recoverable, but adding all of this to your account definitely makes it a lot safer. As for past payments, I do not believe so, no.

 

How could it possibly be recovered?
What excuse could the seller make to do so.

Read that ^. Accounts can always be recovered, even if you have all that info. How safe you are depends entirely on the reputation of your seller.

 

There's plenty of stories someone can spin to get their account back. They don't even really need to add anything on the recovery besides all the required information and they can recover.

 

His excuse is that he probably needs the money and is a lowlife. He could get banned from PA but he would still get away with it unfortunately.

 

Well shit, I purchased gold on this account. It's my only one and its my main... its been good for a month now but i am still worried

 

I came across one of "A Friends" youtube video. Explains how someone lost an account they purchased.

I purchased it off of "My Reputation - PlayerAuctions" he has 11 bad rep, that accuse him of recovering accounts

 

That guy seems decently trustworthy if you get lucky it might be legit. I advice you to not transfer any gp on the account for a while and if need be use the gp to have someone level your own account for you so you know it will always be safe.

 

Sadly...Majority of scammers that do account recoveries play the long game when it comes to getting them back. They look at it like lending out an account to get trained for free and maybe 3 months down the line...or even 6 or even a year, they will decide to recover it and get some free items/trained just to repeat the process again on the next victim.

I would be very hesitant of keeping any serious amount of gold on the account.

 

just make sure u have some recovery info, if u get into a war/recovery battle, the acc will be flagged and locked.

 

It's possible that he won't bother recovering it, but you never know... a year later he may decide he wants to play. Good luck with the purchase.

 

I believe playerauctions sells an insurance policy on accounts in the case of an account being recovered. I think you had to purchase it as you were buying the account though.

 

its never safe man... I'm sorry to say but there is No way to be one hundred percent sure that's why it's suggested that you only buy from trusted people here on Sythe
