How do i get over my mum passing away?

My Mum Passed Away On The 12th Of August 2010 Struggling To Fight Three Types Of Cancers Bowl:Brain:Lung Caused By The Cancerous Cells Spreading 5x Faster Than Usual Which Also Caused Serveral Tumours To Also Spread,I Feel Like My Life Has Chosen A New Path Which Has No Meaning I Haven't Cried Or Felt Anger Only Felt Pure Emotion I Think This Is What Started A New Me Mine And My Dads Bond Has Almost Worn Away. I Don't Know What To Do I Have Tried Counciling And Anti-Depressants But I Feel There Not The Answer The Only Thing That Makes Me Feel I Can Let Out All Of My Emotion Is Listening To Some Of The Music My Mum Liked But Still I Know My Life Now Doesn't Make Sence Nor This Message Probally,

If Anyone Could Give Advise/Tips I Would Be Very Gratefull,

Sorry to say mate, but you never are going to truly get over it. I am sorry for your lose, the best thing to do is remember everything she has taught you, and the best times you had with her while she was still on this earth. It's hard for a while, but soon enough you get stronger, and life goes on.

Sorry to hear, but I think there is nothing you can do to get over your mom.

You will think about it every single day but day after day, you will become stronger and eventually face the fact and that you're okay with it.

Try to find a hobby or something your really interested in,don't result to drugs,etc.

This is something I've experienced in the past, and the loss of a parent affects everybody differently. Personally, the moment I finally felt I had 'gotten over' the grief of my father's passing was when I could remember something he had said or done and smile instead of crying. This isn't something you can force to happen though.

If it's distressing you, talking to somebody like a grandparent certainly helped me.

You probably will never be able to forgot her, but that's a good sign too dude, it shows how much love was between your mother and you.

I'm really sorry for your loss. I lost my dog September 4, I know that it's not as bad as a parent but I felt horrible. I would say the best way to cope with your loss is to let your emotions take control for a moment. If you don't they'll stay pent up inside you and you'll only feel worse. A douche bag: When they pass away, they don't give two shits.

A good kid: Where you feel the emotions. It's a good thing that you love your mother.

Just don't think of all the bad things, think of the good things.

The same situation happened to a friend of mine last year. If I can give you a tip, try to not stay inside doing nothing / staying on your own. Isolating yourself from your friends and family will make it worse.

Hang out as much as you can with friends and try to do sports / activies.

 

I'm very sorry for your loss, it's going to be hard to get over, but time heals all wounds. You will always be sad about her death, but after a while you will learn to think of more happy times with her instead of her early exit from your life. In the mean time, try picking up a new activity to do, such as a sport, or a instrument, or anything really. Once again I'm extremely sorry for your loss. If you need to talk, just PM me.

 

Basically said it all.

Just think of all she has done, and how much she loved you. It'll make you stronger, and more motivated to do the things you love to do without having to worry about your mother.
