How do i bank wire from Canada to Switzerland?

what would be the best way to bank wire around $300 from Canada to Switzerland? i have never done one before and am not sure what the fees would be from my bank,

how should i do it?

 

That depends upon the bank you are dealing with and the account type you have, for example if you have a normal current account, and you do the transfer via your banks teller counter, you will have a high charge. It also depends on the currency of your account that you are using, for example if your bank issues the money in $, Switzerland exchange rate to Swiss currency might be very high thus increasing the charges you are paying for the bank transfer.

To cut things short, if you are dealing with a bank who has online international transfers, that should be your cheapest option, but my advice would be to give a call to a customer service desk of your bank and inform them that you want to make a transfer and ask them about their international transfer options.

Make sure you have the beneficiary account number and IBAN # so that you can process the transfer.

I don't know what is your purpose of this transfer but I would like to warn you that banks in Switzerland protect their customers and if you are sending the money to a fraudster/scammer/criminal etc.. , you wont be able to sue or recover or even track that money.
