How do GP site's make there money?

Just curious, i've always woundered how they make all there money?

Skilling in runescape? Buying of others? I mean like big GP site's, etc, anyone?

 

They buy or run a gold farm then sell the RSGP they make for profit

 

I'm gonna guess that they buy it from someone else and resell for a higher price.
I think it would take a ton of bots to make bils and bils, so it would make more sense and be more efficient to just buy and resell.

Some are gold farmers but a lot of them also buy gold for cheap then sell it for higher. People will pay that higher price for the safety.

 

Some buy and resell and some farm their own gold.

Any tips on starting a GP business?

 

Yes, the above answers are correct but I also want to notice you all that I know quite a few occasions when the sites took the gold and didn't pay the seller and it doesn't matter if they sold 1m or 1b to them. So be cautious.

 

THey buy it for cheap, sell it higher.
There is some rwt's here on sythe that works for some of the companys.

Gold farming and buying low and selling high

 

Pretty much as any company makes money; buying gold for once price and selling it for a higher price, thus making their money. Also, they would use bots to get money which (minus the cost of the bot) would create a large amount of money.

Plus using bots to skill would allow them to carry out other activities which gain money, while gaining money from being paid to skill.

 

Simple merchanting.. they buy GP, accounts, items etc. at low prices, and then sell them for profit.

They also make a large chunk of their income from advertising revenue. Gold sites are usually completely spammy with the amount of ads and pop ups you get from visiting their website.

 

They're a giant gp merchanting clan.
