So I'm pretty sure I just got scammed for an account because I tried to log on today and i cant but my question is how could they have gotten the account back when I changed the email changed the password set up jag and associated with facebook? And if I cant get the recovery email sent to me am I beat for recovering my account?

Accounts are ALWAYS recoverable. It doesnt matter what security measures you put in place. It's very easy for the seller (if theyre original owner) to claim the account was hacked. Jagex will lock the account if they can provide proof of previous ownership, and allow them to manually recover.

I'd still recommend making a report though. It will be added to his scam report. If he ever wants to come back to Sythe, he'd first have to pay back the people he scammed.

if people send an email to jagex saying their account got hacked, and some proof like ip logs jagex will lock the accounts and revert any changes made after the ip change(aka when the acc was sold).
then he recovers normally.

Sorry for your loss, but always use offical middleman who verify the recovery information during purchase.. I would digg up his personal info and go to his door...
Emailing jagex is enough to recover for original owner.
