So I have these games installed...

I lent my friend my Laptop the other day to get the games, Left 4 Dead, and Left 4 Dead 2..

Apparently he torrented them so I cannot play online..

But say I installed Steam, will that work?

( I know torrents are not allowed here, but I just wanna know, after I get a answer I will remove it. )

 

Torrent is not necessarily illegal. BitTorrent is still a big company. Check it out.

No, games without appropriate Steam account will not work online, but still work offline though. Steam should only be required for the games to work online.
