How can I purchase in different currency?

For the most part, I already know how to get to the different currency, but I'm having issues with getting a payment approved at all. Example, I used VPN to change my geolocation to Brazil and I was able to get the package I wanted to purchase from Jagex, but when I got to the payment portion, all my forms of payment are being declined. I travel internationally often so I have a lot of internationally approved forms of spending. I'm not receiving any notifications from my institutions about even an attempt at a charge on my products. One that I thought for sure would be simple would be Paypal, but even that one just says enter email and bam, transaction failed.

Anyone able to assist me with a walkthrough on how to get this to work?

 

That's interesting. Usually that happened to me with visa gift cards and such. Perhaps your card issuer doesn't work in that area or is flagging the transaction (although unlikely since you said you travel internationally often)? Have you bought from jagex before from Brazil or other areas or is this a first time?

Hope you figure this out and btw if you're buying membership try checking out the membership codes section on here. Their prices are way cheaper than Jagex.

 

I've purchased from Jagex in 3 seperate countries, but never South America. My banks stated they haven't even seen an attempt of a transaction, and normally my apps/services will text me to approve or decline. Since I travel a lot internationally, I made sure I have means of payments that don't just get declined in new destinations, so the products I use are essentially tailored heavily towards traveling, such as no international exchange fees, ATMs nearly world wide with fees covered, etc.

I even tried Paypal since I use that extensively for business transactions from completely different countries, like Australia, China, etc. My Paypal services had no prompt of a transaction, and doesn't seem that the attempt of making a legitimate withdraw was even in their agenda when making the purchase. Like they just defaulted to cancel on Jagex' end.

 

That's bizarre. The only other thing that comes to mind would be that this is a problem on Jagex's side rather than yours. The fact that you were able to order from other places seems to suggest that they aren't currently accepting orders from South America. Perhaps due to the association with gold farmers or something else. Only thing i can suggest is to try to purchase from a different country or continent altogether (I know this wasn't what you were hoping for) as I'm not sure there would be a way to circumvent this "embargo".

Interesting, I could definitely see that as a possibility. Gonna reach out to contacts that do more business in that area to see if they're capable of assisting. I'll see if anything changes.

 

Crypto would probably be your your best option

 

buy cheap gold and get bonds thats what i usually do. Ive not been able to do it through mexico this is my solution
