    How Can I Make Myself Faster?

    I was wondering what I could do to make myself faster. I'm a junior in High School and i already run a 4.75 40 yard print. I'm wondering can i get faster? I want to get faster for college football coach says if I got a tad bit faster maybe to a 4.7 flat i could possibly start for a college foobtall team..


    IF this info is needed. Im 5'11" I wiegh 145 LBS, I max sqat 345. and i bench 220.



    All suggestions welcome.

    How Can I Make Myself Faster?

    I'm 5'9 and 150 - 22 yrs old

    I bench/squat nowhere near what you can if even half that.

    Anyways I'm under 4.5 - 40 yard dash on a good day.


    You can always get faster, just depends if you really want to put the work in that is needed to get faster.


    Try "smaller" dashes, like 15 - 20 yds back and forth between the goal line and the 20 yd line around 25 - 50 times every day or every other day.

    Then the 40 won't seem so far, the whole goal of those 20 yd dashes is to get used to pushing yourself hard for short amounts of time.

    How Can I Make Myself Faster?

    If your ONLY going to be running you basically need good leg muscles and stamina, some upper body strength and cardio wouldnt hurt though. Although i see your a sprinter so stamina isnt really too much of an issue. Its a really basic answer; Work out, run alot and do leg and cardio workouts. Keep your heartbeat up when working out which is easy to do. For example: 12 leg presses then immediatly to push ups as your break. This will work cardio while building leg muscle.
