    EDIT: No need for any more to be posted, I think I have a rough idea of what I need to do, thanks.

    As title said, post away .. and I have my reasons for wanting to know, lol, I just need a fast way to gain some weight, and please don't post 'eating before sleeping' because it doesn't work for me, thanks.

    Nah lol, I just started working out and like .. I want to be 'ripped' rather than 'skinny ripped' because atm, I'm kind of slim myself, I can lose weight easily because I have a fast metabolism, thanks for your input anyway.

    Just eat more carbs and things like nuts and cheese and things. Don't start stuffing your face with 50 thousand bars of chocolate because that's not healthy. Just have bigger meals and make sure you get all your vitamins, because if you have a vitamin deficiency, then it can make it harder to gain weight and get the nutrients your body needs.

    Also lift weights. Lifting weight will help build muscle and since muscle weighs a lot, you will be putting on weight.

    Theres two different kind.
    Theres overweight and fat weight. I'm pretty sure you don't want fat weight, so lift weight and build muscle.

    If you have money then you should purchase protein(Maximuscle stuff) they help develope muscles. When used with weight lifting you should see the results you desire.

    Don't eat shit food because you have a fast metabolism, you will just end up skinny with bitch tits. Drink lots of milk, or protein supplements if you prefer as well as 3-4 whole eggs at breakfast every morning and make sure every meal you eat has a decent serve of protein. If you have just started working out a good idea would be to ask someone at your gym what their diet is like or what they think a hardgainer should be eating.

    It's simple really eat 6 meals a day, all with high amounts of protein and stay away from shit food completely.

    pasta, spaghetti, bacon, eggs, all have good protein/carbs etc. and eat alot, dont eat a bit, just tell your mum or whoever cooks to cook u some decent shit and lots of it and make sure you eat ALL of it.

    and if u want to gain weight i suggest you dont eat alot of fibres ( fibres make you shit).

    Just eating food won't help.
    You have a high metabolism. Youwon't gain weight, so instead of pigging out, lift weights. Not only will you gain muscle, but also muscle weight.

    How can I gain fat quickly and easily?

    I am a wrestler, and I have wanted to gain some weight for a while. Nothing works for me, as I have a very high metabolism. The only thing that has kind of worked for me is eating a lot, and lifting heavy weights every day, plus having protein shakes in addition to the food.

    a while back i wanted the same thing. i looked it up online. you will want a lot of protein in your diet. milk, nuts, meat (obviously) are things i found that will help. if you get a good work out and then replenish all the carbs you lost right after; that should help as well. a well balanced diet and good work out program should work.

    Eat a small meal every 2-3 hours and stuff your face. Try to get at least 1g of protein per lb of pure body mass. Drinking milk helps tons in getting more protein and calories since 1 cup is 8g of protein and 150 calories. Drink TONS of water because the plasma from the protein will fuck your liver up if you don't drink enough.

    Sounds like you are an ectomorph (aka hardgainer), which means you should be caring less about what you eat and more about putting as much of it as you can into your body.

    Do not listen to what people are telling you here about protein powders, the purpose of protein powders is convenience because it fits in a little bottle and you can carry it around. The only time you will need protein powders is right after you work out because that is when your body switches to an anabolic phase and starts building muscle. Get a shaker from GNC for like $10 bucks and buy a tub of ON Whey protein, this is all you need right now, don't waste your money on anything else. Fill your shaker with chocolate milk, yes chocolate, the simple carbs (sugar) in it will create an insulin spike and will allow your body to absorb more protein therefore making you bigger. Then just add 1 scoop of whey protein and you're good for your after workout shake. The shake will be about 35-40g protein and make sure you count your daily protein intake to make sure you're getting enough.

    If you want to get bigger, aka induce hypertrophy, then you have to do a bodybuilders workout. This means you have to do more reps and less weight. Try to get about 35-50 reps per exercise, and it doesn't matter how many sets x reps you do just make sure it equals 35-50 reps. Some examples are 12x3, 10x4, 15x3, the more variety you put into your workout the more it will confuse your muscles and the more stimulation you will give it for muscle growth.

    Start out with chest/tri's on monday, bis/back on wednesday, and back/abs on friday. Your first workout for each day should be a compound movement and should stimulate as much muscles as possible. Examples of compound movements are bench, squats, deadlifts, etc. The reason for this is because usually the first muscle group you work out is the one that is going to grow the best, and the compound movements will help keep your body proportional since all the muscles will grow at the same rate. When you get more experienced you can start out with curls or tri's if you find one of your muscle groups lagging.

    Do not do cardio, do no cardio. The cardio will be counterproductive for your weight gain since it will only burn the calories you put into your body that would otherwise be used for muscle growth.

    Get a lot of rest, take a multivitamin, drink lots of water, EAT A LOT. When I started bulking I ate 4000 calories a day, got a bout 150-200g of protein per day, and ended up gaining 30 lbs in 4 months, and only about 3-4%bf so most of it was muscle.     Salt? Wtf? Your body will retain more water, but after you stop eating that much salt your body will simply deflate and let all that water out. Plus high sodium diets will result in high blood pressure and will be hard on the heart. If you want your body to hold more water then take creatine, since it does that exact same thing without the high blood pressure.

    I think he means, if he puts on fat, he will lose it, and there will be more room for muscle. Like, if you put on 20 lbs, than converted it all to muscle, you would have more muscle than if you didn't put on the 20 lbs. Your body can only put on so much muscle, you can't store the muscle on nothing.

    I think I stated what I meant properly. If you need clarification, ask.

    I would never encourage people to use creatine, although it does help with recovery and transporting water cells to muscles it is fucking awful for your liver and kidneys.

    You're right on with the ON whey though, best quality for what you pay.

    Eat tons of carbs + starchs, and don't work out. They will attempt to like release the energy, but since there is no use for it since you're inactive, it will be stored as fat. The body builds up as much fat as it can, it's like an insulation.

    Carbs + starch. Eat like pasta + potatos each night, and you will put some meat on your bones.
