A Guide to Windows Live SkyDrive

Firstly what is SkyDrive?

Windows Live SkyDrive is literally 25GB of space that you have access to per Windows Live account. With SkyDrive you can store multiple files including important word documents, pictures and even videos. The main bonus for SkyDrive is that you can also share the files on your personal SkyDrive account for others to view.

How to use SkyDrive

Firstly, sign up to Windows Live and sign in.



This is what it should look like without any files on it whatsoever. Now to place your important files into your SkyDrive folder. This is done by clicking on "Add Files". It is in a redbox in the previous picture.




You now have an option to place your files into your own personalized folder that you create or in My Documents.



I'll show you the method of creating a personal folder. Click create a folder. Now enter a name for your folder. You also have the option for special permissions. You can allow other individuals to view these or keep them strictly for your own use. If you only want yourself to be able to access these files leave it as "Just Me"



Now you have the option to add files into your SkyDrive folder. Note, the maximum size per file is at 50MB. I will upload a RS related photo. Also a word document.



After clicking Continue your folder should look abit like this.



You can also edit Word Documents online in MSN. Amazing I know. You will need to hover your mouse over the file and click on "Edit in browser". This is shown in the picture below.




You know have the option of changing basic information on the word documents. You cant do all the fancy stuff with normal word but you can change words around and stuff.




This is my first and ever guide that I have personally submitted on Sythe. I will accept any and all positive criticism. If you are here to rant please, do me a favor and leave the thread. I have searched this issue up and I have come up with no hits. I assure you that all pictures and text given on this guide is mine and mine only. This will be a collection of high quality guides that I will be posting so maybe in the near future *cough* 2 weeks *cough* so I may get the chance to take on the role of a Sythe Community Support Assistant.

Wow; PlayerOne, when you IM'ed me this link the first thing that came to mind, "Am I in some sort of trouble?"

But now reading it, I NEVER knew about SkyDrive, this will make it easier for me to access my sales, pictures and any information someone from Sythe needs, Thanks!
