It's so easy to tell who's botting soul wars!

LOL everytime I see a kid who changed his name from brad to iiIlIIliLliilLilli I can tell he's a bot. I think it's so funny. Some guy wrote the guide and told players to change their name to something like that to make it hard to report. If anything the bot hunters would know right off the bat you're a bot and go out of their way to report you! I mean honestly how stupid does it look when you go from a 4 digit all letter name to a bunch of I's and L's. It's so obvious guys. The best thing to do is have a non memorable name. Not a name that's hard to report. Like the dude who wrote the guide said, lowercase with numbers. dude54iam34. like that. that is not memorable. IIDIDIDIDI or ILILILIIIKIKL is very noticeable and it's very obvious youre a bot! Come on people!

There is a guide on this website that I assume you haven't read. It's about botting soul wars. One of the things the author urges the readers to do is to change their name to something like the ones I just described. It makes it way harder to get reported and without being reported you can't be banned.

 

No it's not, but bot hunters would gladly take the extra time out of their day to do it.

 

I bot on a 4 letter name, I tell people I bot, I bot for 20+ hours a day, Its been 8 days of this and nothing has happend.

 

Better yet, just bot on a high-level character. Screw the name, I've botted about 8 months straight on various 120+ cb characters never been banned. I'd check in about twice a day, and sometimes I'd notice the bot attacking people outside the obby, and the people the bot was fighting would all call me botter and say they reported me.

My hypothesis is that as long as jagex thinks that you're gonna keep providing revenue for them, they don't really care how you do it, so long as you aren't making life difficult for other paying members. Also, 80% of sw players are bots. My personal favorite way to tell if people are botting is if at the 15, 14, or 13-minute mark, they suddenly switch waiting rooms

 

This really don't mean there botting. I have a account with 8 "L"s and 4 "I"s never botted on it.

 

Stakers also use those names to make their stats difficult to be looked up.

what that entails exactly, is unknown.. but Reports would only be a small part of it.

It's obvious that almost every person there is a bot. Jagex just doesn't seem to care.

 

dude54iam34 is very easy to remember? Plus you only need to remember it for a few seconds while you click the report button.

Complicated names such as IiLLilIillI are often used for BH worlds, as your opponent will not be able to look up your stats easily.

 

Exactly, I used to use this before the name update, and they would always look up this main with the same combat level as me, but I had 80 defense instead of 60
