Hotmail

So hotmail for now on is gone for good? You can't make them any more...

Kinds sucks when you have 50 steam accounts with an uncreated hotmail email and most are hotmail...

 

They are still up, but they affiliated themselves with outlook.

 

Ugh Microsoft, again with this shit.

I've mostly transferred to my own domain email, but it's a shame we can't make @hotmail.com accounts anymore.

 

Yet more useless changes and no security fixes, le sigh

They just discontinue @hotmails? I made one not too long ago so

 

You can still go to hotmail.com but it redirects you to outlook.com and when you go to create an account the only option is outlook.com emails.

 

I actually don't mind the change. I have plenty of @hotmail & @live accounts, but I just recently (before the official change that was bound to happen sooner or later) started making @ouotlook accounts anyway.

I don't know about you, but I saw this coming from a mile away.

 

Yeah it does really suck. I somehow stuck with hotmail despite all the horrible changes. gmail is the best tbh...

 

What's wrong with putting @outlook rather than @hotmail? It's even the same amount of characters - idk, seems moot.

 

People who are selling steam accounts like me have a lot of steam accounts with OE. OE means that the login and the email matches and you can go to hotmail and create the OE to improve the security of your account..

Anyway, I went to hotmail.com today and tried to register an account and saw that you can make them again. So glad, I'm just going to create all my emails I need.

Just saved me like 500$.

 

Ah, I see. Never used Steam and have been using gmail for years so I wasn't aware. All good now though? did they issue any kind of statement with bringing back hotmail emails?

 

No, which was suprising. I don't even know if it's a global thing. I had a few people say they couldn't make a hotmail account until I gave them the link as to where I was at that was able to make a hotmail account. Maybe the same thing happened to me. But I also saw a few other forums where people are asking for tricks to make hotmail accounts, so I see a global removal soon.
