Ok Now im realy thinking jages is losing out now.

Lets start with F2P/P2P wilderness ok so that went, people quit lost a HUGE amount of cash.

So they messed around with duel arena with a 3k stake and went to f2p.

Bounty hunter, well thats ok,good for pures. GREAT ! people start playing, but people still constantly complain they want old wilderness.Not great.

so some people come back to runescape.GREAT but lagg ? all of these updates are Killing it, Any way back to it!

So are last stage FIST of GUTHIX well a fun game i must say, but its making allthe f2p too rich <Theres note wrong with that! So now we have less paying for members because free world is just as fun !

So what will be next ? castle wars ?Fishing Guild? There losing out on many things here i think they should sort there selfs out, THIS THREAD IS NOT ABOUT OLD WILDYY !!!but about how there making there lifes harder for them self with all the updates... My point of view Whats yours ?

my piont is they really couldnt care about the odd person quiting runescape, they have over 1 million members, 5 usd times 1 million is 5 million dollars a month on membership alone, then they make a killing on adverts since thousands of people view there site every day.

you may think many people have quit runescape but there is just as many people starting to play. And f2p is still just as boring as batshit. the new hide and seek minigame is lame, its not fun, theres no real excitement in killing someone that is unarmed.

jagex company is worth millions, they will never loose out.

 

porman is right, jagex may lose some money, but with all these updates more and more people have become attracted to it. and f2p may be fun... but p2p will still dominate overall.. especially with the size of the p2p world.

 

but im not just talking about cash, im talking about players...

 

Dude, f2p will never be as fun as Members, FOG doesn't even come close to making f2p and p2p equal. There's also been plenty of rich free players the whole time, it was the smart ones. The rest of f2p have no common sense, thats why they always seemed poor.

 

Who cares? they advertise so much on the internet that new people who never knew about the wilderness will play and get members and so on. Also they're the second biggest MMORPG (second to WoW) i think they can afford to lose a few players.

 

Thats what YOU think... many havent tried members world and Maybe doesnt want to because of the many updates.

 

Well thats all true that they are big enough to lose members but I think they'd be much more appreciated by players if they took an interest in making sure none of the other players left for reasons such as the updates
Well you live with it so they wont be losing money whatever they do because its so big that it can get new members with no trouble whatsoever

 

So was I. more and more people are playing runescape. simple as that.
some of the old timers have left, like me, but there are so many new players. you to to tut island and the place is filled with people.

 

You think that just beceause FOG is out, f2p'ers won't want to become members? Have you forgotten membership unlocks more than half of rs? And what about the 9 membership skills? Of the million members out there, Jagex really won't see a difference.

 

f2p is full of idiots who haven't realized that p2p is better.. and these updates make them feel like they r right.. but they arent! I have no respect for f2p players cause they are noobs. I remember my first day of members i was cutting maples and i got a magix tree seed which i sold for 200k. I f i had been f2p it would have taken days to get 200k! in p2p it took about 5min..

 

Jagex said, they Know they will not gain any money or players with the updates, but it is a risk that must be taken to bring down Real world trading.

 

well i dissagree with real world trading but i dissagree with all the updates aswell

 

I believe that rs2 is going pretty much downhill. The updates are preposterous at best. And the godsword and sara swords just make me sick to my stomach.

 

i agree they are losing lots of players and us p2p need our advantages
