I second this, and even though I have nothing against homosexuality I believe children should not be brought against this type of thing in a game. As in may influence them with choices they may regret. Such as being bullied in school. I believe they would make this choice on their own.

Situations like these bring up so many points why was homosexuality suddenly thrust into society. It has always been around but it was just one of those things that was around no one cared much about it. And now that its being brought into attention those that are for it try too hard and those that are against it hate too much. Our society were built on fundamental laws that everyone agrees upon and believes its the stability in our unanimous agreements that we can live successfully in a community but when something like homosexuality is brought up it disrupts the equality so please just go along with society. Everyone was born straight, its only when you live and interact with others that you have the possibility to learn and become a homosexual.

 

I have nothing against homosexuals. I just don't think that they will make a change, because then what does it "look" like they are supporting. Good thoughts though. But just don't expect much from it.

The easiest way to put it is... They don't want to influence gay marriage (as it is un natural to the human nature) not unnatural, just as humans it is.

They don't want to influence it, but they don't see it as bad pretty much like that.

 

I honestly don't care about this, you can be homesexual, but it is just a game, that was made in Britian/Engliand/Whatever the fuck it's called anymore. If they don't want it, they don't have to, maybe it was a mistake or something. But, about the thread:

Isn't there a rule that you have to be 13 or older to play Runescape? There was when I started, I don't know if it change, but you should be playing runescape if you're under 13. If someone hurts their feelings or fill their brain with shit, it's their fault. Read the rules.

Like they are going to change the game around because of several peoples support of one stupid ass post.

 

On one hand, your (and my) first reaction to this is "lol how stupid". It seems ridiculously petty at first glance. BUT it's these little things that add up to inequality and harrassment on a larger scale; gay people are bombarded with the message that being gay is wrong and this is just another example of it.
Say gay people were completely equal and socially accepted. The quest WOULD allow your character to marry someone of the same gender because nobody would think anything of it. It's the big societal changes that influence the little things like this, but it can go the other way as well - small things can add up to bring about that change.
Now, obviously changing a quest in runescape isn't going to miraculously boost gay acceptance in society, but thousands of little changes will.

Will jagex do anything about it though? hell no, they're a company. They exist to make money, this would create controversial publicity for them.

You must be the first person I've been pissed off at on the internet in over a year. Your sheer stupidity and the fact I can tell you're being serious makes me lose faith in the entire world, because I know there are millions of people just like you, who swallow up whatever they're told and die without ever having a single original thought in their life. I don't really see why they wouldn't do it - at least so you could ask them and have them reject you.
