I want to rebuild my pc.

Hey. Anyone here know how I could just start over on my pc from scratch. Its because my pc doesn't detect certain programs. (Speakers, iPod, webcam ect.)

 

Are you talking about building a new machine (all new parts) or are you talking about re-installing/upgrading your operating system?

 

That sounds like your USB Ports have
a) Lost power
b) Stopped functioning correctly.

Try using the ports at the back.

 

Sounds to me like you are missing the drivers for all that shit.
Go into device manager by holding the windows logo key, and pressing pause-break. Click the hardware tab, and then click device manager.
Anything marked with a yellow question mark does not have drivers installed. Without drivers, your hardware can't be used by your operating system. Get drivers for everything that doesn't have them, and try again.

Actually Im totally inexperienced when I was building an OK gaming PC. All I did ws use download.com's weekend project section for most of it and googled the rest to me about a month to research, buy and build my PC. Cost me about 500 dollars, the graphics card was expensive.

 

If you want to buy really cheap computer parts, go to www.newegg.com . Buying from best buy or other electronic retailers are just rippig you off. You can save over 200 dollars from one piece of hardware.
