HNS contacted me via skype interested in my 3 digit. After a bit I asked for a PM, I forgot to ask him to say something specific but he was in fact the only person to PM me on July 5th. He asked for proof of mobile auth, and later he asked for a screenshot, stupid me gave a expired code screenshot to him and he reset the account via [Redacted] IP. This is pretty illicit and something I did not expect myself to actually fall for. Luckily Valve restored the account to me 18 minutes after I self locked.

The messages I deleted on my end pretain to the 3 digit, such as the screen I sent of expired mobile auth code. I knew not to send him current but I didnt think he could do anything with a expired code and I waited for 3 to expire.

Redacted the sensitive information, but everything lines up. Banned him for hijacking the account, but glad to hear you got the account restored in your hands. Be more careful next time, but thanks for reporting this nonetheless.
